Sound
The sound not only makes the music, it also contributes significantly to the success — or failure — of a livestream.
Right from the start, we have attached great importance to sound quality. This is not only reflected in the use of high-quality microphones, mixers, amplifiers and speakers. Rather, it depends on the targeted mixing by expert event technicians.
For example, the sound at a hybrid event is mixed differently for the audience on site than for the digitally connected viewers.
The requirements for professional sound therefore depend on various factors, including the type of sound produced, the intended use of the sound and the target audience. However, there are some general requirements that apply to most situations:
- High-quality equipment: Professional sound requires high-quality equipment such as microphones, mixing consoles, amplifiers and loudspeakers. The aim is to achieve high fidelity.
- Correct acoustics: No two recording environments are the same. The aim is to avoid sound reflections, echoes and other unwanted noises in order to achieve the highest possible recording quality. Ideally, the recording room is designed to reduce ambient noise and focus the sound on the recording area.
- Qualified professionals: The professionals involved in sound production should be competent and experienced in their respective fields. This includes sound engineers, mixers and producers who have a deep understanding of the recording process and the technical aspects of sound production.
- Attention to detail: Professional sound requires attention to detail in every aspect of the recording process, from microphone placement to mixing and streaming.
Overall, professional sound requires a combination of high-quality equipment, qualified professionals, appropriate acoustics, attention to detail and quality control. By complying with these requirements, it is possible to produce high-quality sound.
Streamboxstudios uses wireless microphones (handheld mics, clip-on mics) in the A‑band and relies on a completely digital mix.
Our audio system is equipped with Dante technology and can be seamlessly integrated into existing sound systems.
Sound integrated into presentations is either picked up by Dante or via USB interfaces and integrated into the system.
Participants who take part in a hybrid event via conference platforms such as ZOOM, MS Teams or Webex are audible and visible on site.
We can play royalty-free music to accompany countdowns, breaks or special moments, such as the presentation of an award at an event, to create an atmospheric mood for the audience on site and in the virtual space.
AUDIO OVER NETWORK
We use Dante Audio, a digital audio network technology that enables the distribution of high-quality, uncompressed audio over standard IP networks.
The Dante protocol developed by the Australian company Audinate enables the transmission of up to 512 audio channels via a single Ethernet cable. Its special feature: extremely low latency. This makes it ideal for applications that require multi-channel audio distribution in real time, such as live events.
Dante Audio is designed as a plug-and-play (PnP) solution in which devices automatically recognize each other on the network and establish connections without the need for manual configuration. It also offers security features such as encryption and user authentication to ensure that audio data can only be received by those who are authorized to do so.
